“Recently, delineation of genotype–phenotype relationships has been emerged in patients with PCD. For example, patients with absent inner dynein arm with microtubular disorganization who harbor a CCDC39 or CCDC40 mutation, have worse lung function compared with patients with outer dynein arm defects and DNAH5 mutation. In contrast, patients with RSPH1 mutations appear to have mild lung function impairment.
